Hi, I’m Jake Gabbard.

I'm a Senior Video Producer and visual storyteller with more than a decade of experience creating documentaries, digital journalism, and branded content.

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to tell stories across food, travel, culture, and military beats, producing videos that have reached millions of viewers around the world. I enjoy finding the human story behind every subject and bringing it to life through thoughtful, engaging filmmaking.

At Business Insider, I've produced, filmed, written, and edited stories everywhere from Michelin-starred kitchens and historic bakeries to military training grounds and remote locations around the globe. Whether I'm working as a one-person crew or leading larger productions, I love every stage of the creative process—from developing an idea and building relationships with subjects to capturing compelling visuals and shaping the final edit. My work has generated more than 144 million views and over 1 billion minutes watched across digital platforms.

Before joining Business Insider, I built my foundation in commercial production, post-production, and broadcast television, including an internship at The Late Show with David Letterman. Those experiences taught me to be adaptable, collaborative, and resourceful—qualities I bring to every project. I'm passionate about creating authentic stories that inform, entertain, and connect with audiences, no matter where they come from.

Outside of video production my hobbies include gardening, hiking, camping, and travel.
